UKAS is considering developing a pilot programme for assessment and accreditation of potential applicants for inspection of manufacture of nuclear components for the planned PWR power stations in the UK. Once the terms and conditions of the pilot programme are established, further information will be published on the UKAS website www.ukas.com. Any applications received for accreditation of inspection of nuclear components will be progressed once the pilot programme is established.
