Accreditation Symbols

BIS (the Department for Business Innovation and Skills) has licensed UKAS to use national accreditation symbols (which incorporate the Royal Crown) and to sub-license the use of these symbols to UKAS accredited bodies. The Royal Crown signifies government recognition.

UKAS is required to ensure the conditions for the use of the symbols, which are laid down by the Lord Chamberlain, are observed. A copy of the conditions is available from this web site as a PDF file. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer in order to view and/or print the conditions. Acrobat Reader is available as a free download from the Adobe site. Please use the appropriate links below.

Copies of the national accreditation symbols are available as TIF files to organisations directly accredited by UKAS. To obtain these files, please email info@ukas.com, quoting your accreditation number.

Please note that UKAS will not send the files to printers, designers or agents of accredited organisations.
