Use the 'you are here' feature to navigate between different sections of the site.
The pilot programme for the assessment of certification bodies for Business Continuity Management   (BCM) is now well underway.Part 2 of BS 25999, the certification standard for BCM, was published in November 2007, joining part 1, the Code of Practice. Once the five participants in the pilot have completed their assessments, UKAS will be able to conclude this phase of the project and award accreditation to ISO 17021 to thes uccessful candidates. This phase of the project is expected to end on 1 June 2008. This will enable UKAS accredited certification to be issued to companies that wish to demonstrate that they meet the standard for managing disruptions to their operations. Other organisations would then be able to apply for accreditation for BCM.
