An article published in Civil Service World, the leading publication across Whitehall, states that UKAS accreditation can support the latest Spending Review achieve its stated aim of finding £10bn of savings within the public sector and a further £10bn from deregulation for business. It reports that one way that savings can be found in the delivery of outcomes is by the greater use of accreditation, allowing policy officials to run programmes strategically, while the day-to-day work is overseen by UKAS.
