» First accreditations for Assessment of Monitoring Plans and Verification of CO2 Emissions from Maritime Transport

On 1 March 2017 UKAS announced the first accreditations against ISO 14065: 2013 for assessment of monitoring plans and verification of carbon dioxide emissions from maritime transport in accordance with EU Regulation 757/2015 (MRV Shipping). Details of the scope of accreditation for each certification body can be found on the individual accreditation schedules on the UKAS website.
The six accredited verification bodies are:
- Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS - UK Branch
- Centre Testing International (Shenzhen) Corporation
- Dromon Bureau of Shipping
- Lloyds Register Quality Assurance Ltd
- Nippon Kaiji Kyokai
- VERIFAVIA (UK) LTD
Further applicant certification bodies are in the process of achieving accreditation and will be announced as they are finalised.
Accreditation for MRV Shipping verification is now open to all applicants. Potential applicants should consult the Apply for Accreditation section of the UKAS web pages.
Existing accredited bodies should consult their UKAS Assessment Manager in the first instance.
