Bodies seeking appointment by a UK competent authority under relevant UK regulations or EC directives may apply for assessment by UKAS. Background information, including details of the relevant UK competent authorities, is given in UKAS Publication P16 and application should be made to UKAS using the UKAS Application Form. Please refer to one of the UKAS Contacts shown on Page 4 of P16 before completing an application form.
Bodies wishing to be assessed under these arrangements should liase with the appropriate competent authority (see the Appendix in UKAS Publication P16 for details) and take steps to ensure that they understand and comply with the relevant guidelines for appointment and with the relevant regulations before applying to UKAS.
