Reminder to Laboratories

The final date for completing the transition for accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is 31 May 2007.  UKAS assessments to the new version of the standard were made routine at the beginning of this year.  This should enable all laboratories to have their assessment carried out as part of their usual annual visit and allow them sufficient time to address any nonconformities raised as a result of the changes to the standard.  Customers with concerns about meeting next year's deadline should discuss these with their Assessment Manager as soon as possible.  More information about the revised standard is available in the Full Archive of news items in this section of the UKAS website.
