What is independent evaluation?

This means that an independent organisation is checking whether or not something, such as a product, a piece of equipment, a person, a system, a company, a service or anything else, meets specific requirements.  Such evaluators may be laboratories, inspection bodies, certification bodies or other types of organisation.

Look for the crown! Accredited organisations are entitled to display marks that incorporate the royal crown - UKAS accreditation provides confidence that an organisation meets internationally recognised requirements for integrity and competence.
