'My background is in the environmental analysis of various effluents associated with the sewage treatment process and the analysis of compliance drinking water samples. This has and will continue to provide me with a rewarding career.'

Wayne

Joined UKAS: November 2012

Qualification: BSc (Hons) Applied Chemistry

'Prior to joining UKAS I worked for over 20 years with a global premier chemical and manufacturing organisation supplying food grade products to major multi-national customers. I joined UKAS as the opportunity was given to join an organisation whose main objective was improving the standard of certification in the UK. Having previously implemented and maintained a QHSE Management System, and experiencing both value-adding and non-value-adding certification audits, I felt that I had a good perspective of what was required by a CB’s client (although not necessarily what they always wanted!) and the opportunity to support improvements in the delivery of accredited certification was a natural step for me to take.'
