Business System and Data Analyst

UKAS is looking for a Business System and Data Analyst, working with our Finance and IT teams.  This is a full-time role, based at our head office in Staines Upon Thames, with the option of hybrid working.

The role holder will support the business, by developing reports and providing analysis to determine how the business operates and to help identify opportunities for improvement

Role requirements:

  • Ideally the individual will have a Bachelor’s Degree in finance
  • Significant experience in business systems analysis or relevant experience in business, including digital transformation projects
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development methodology and corresponding concepts related to user stories, acceptance criteria
  • Technical, analytical, and development skills including the ability to provide solutions to a variety of business problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think ‘outside of the box’ for process improvements
  • Good level of IT literacy, with advanced Excel and Power BI
  • Ability to write SQL or DAX code

  • The ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances and to the changing requirements of the role
  • Strong communication skills – written and interpersonal – with the ability to communicate complex and technical issues to all levels

Salary:  £40,000 to £42,000 per annum, plus benefits
