Governance Administrator

UKAS are recruiting a Governance Administrator to work within the Technical, Quality and Risk team. This is a full-time role, with the option of hybrid working, based at our head office in Staines Upon Thames.

This role will be responsible for the secretariat function across all UKAS Advisory Committees to ensure UKAS has effective and timely input from required expertise. There will also be other governance activities to undertake and as this is a new role to UKAS there may be opportunities to expand this role further.

Duties of this role include:

  • Organising meetings for each committee (in person meetings will require venues to be arranged)
  • Preparing papers and issuing them within a defined timescale
  • Taking minutes in high level technical meetings
  • Log and support actions arising
  • Keeping record of membership and confidential information
  • Providing general administrative support to enable effective maintenance and communication of technical information

It is expected that the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in supporting committees
  • Experience of organising and taking minutes at high level meetings
  • Attention to detail and ownership for the delivery of high-quality work
  • Knowledge and understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

This post requires the post-holder to occasionally work away from home in order to support external meetings and events. As such, occasional overnight stays and travel within the UK will be required at planned times of the year.

Salary:  upwards of £25000 per annum, plus benefits
