» CoPC Pre-assessment Event
01 October, 2012
UKAS is to hold a ‘collective’ pre-assessment event for ISO/IEC 17025 accredited forensic providers interested in extending accreditation to include the Forensic Science Regulator’s ‘Codes of Practice & Conduct’ (CoPC).
Places at the one day event, to be held on the 20th December 2012 at UKAS, are strictly limited & such is the level of interest envisaged, providers will be limited to one place only. To be eligible to attend, accredited providers must have registered with UKAS (by email to email@example.com marked FAO Sarah Wright) by 7th December 2012. UKAS will allocate places on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.
The purpose of the event is two-fold. In addition to UKAS explaining accreditation expectations for compliance with the CoPC, opportunity will be given for provider comment on the requirements of the CoPC which will be fed back to the Forensic Science Regulator for information/consideration for the next revision of the CoPC.
To obtain the maximum benefit from the event, attendees should have familiarised themselves with the CoPC before attending & their respective provider should have, as a minimum, commenced addressing the additional requirements of the CoPC within the existing ISO/IEC 17025 management system.
