» Illegal use of Slovakian Accreditation Body’s name (SNAS)

The Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) is the only national accreditation body of Slovakia which has been appointed by the Slovak authorities according to the Regulation (EC) 765/2008. Like UKAS, SNAS is a full member of the European Co-operation on Accreditation (EA), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the Forum of Accreditation and Licensing Bodies (FALB). SNAS is a signatory to the EA, ILAC, and IAF Multilateral Agreements.
It has been brought to the attention of UKAS that a company called “Slov Network Accreditation Service”, which uses the same acronym SNAS, proclaims itself to be the legal accreditation body in Slovakia.
