» PAS 2050, UKAS Pilot Project
11 February, 2009
In October 2008 the British Standards Institute (BSI) published a Publicly Available Specification, PAS 2050 `Specification for the assessment of the life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of goods and services’, and a related framework for product GHG emission and reduction claims, the ‘Code of Good Practice’, has been published by the Carbon Trust.
UKAS will shortly start trialling the accreditation and certification approach for PAS 2050 and for PAS 2050 combined with the Code of Good Practice, working with a small group of certification bodies that expressed an interest to participate in a pilot programme. The pilot programme is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
The following certification bodies will participate in the UKAS pilot programme.
