Accreditation: Adding Value to Supply Chains (#WAD2019) - June 9th 2019
The theme of this year’s World Accreditation Day, which will take place on 9th June 2019, focuses on how accreditation adds value to supply chains and procurement activities. The day has become an important fixture in the calendar to promote the value of accreditation, accredited conformity assessment and standards. To support the day, UKAS is coordinating work with key industry and government stakeholders in a publication ‘Quality in the Supply Chain’. Work is also underway to support the launch of IAF CertSearch, a website that will provide purchasers with the ability to verify management systems certificates. UKAS is also working with global quality infrastructure partners, such as ISO, IEC and IIOC, to develop closer relationships with organisations that provide guidance or leadership to the procurement and supply chain profession.
Conformity Assessment Bodies and UKAS Stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the day. The following materials can be circulated as they are (or adapted for your own use) through your channels of communication:
|Poster (Branding)||Joint Statement from the ILAC / IAF Chairs|
|Brochure (with case studies)||Video|
Resources such as www.business-benefits.org and www.publicsectorassurance.org will support events, press and television coverage, and workshops and seminars will take place in conjunction with the celebration of World Accreditation Day in over 100 economies to raise awareness of the value that accreditation plays supporting supply chains.
If you want to know more about how you can take part, please contact UKAS at firstname.lastname@example.org.
