Sanctions

ISO/IEC 17011 states that Accreditation Bodies are required to have procedures for suspension, withdrawal or reduction of the accreditation scope (collectively referred to as ‘Sanctions’).

Below is a summary of recent activity, a the list of organisations with scopes which are currently suspended or withdrawn can be found here.

  • For the period October - December 2022
    • Imposed total suspensions: 6 organisations (1 testing laboratory, 1 medical laboratory, 1 inspection body, 2 physiological services, and 1 imaging services)
    • Imposed total withdrawals: 4 organisations (2 testing laboratories, and 2 inspection bodies)
  • For the period July - September 2022
    • Imposed total suspensions: 16 organisations (6 testing laboratories, 1 calibration laboratory, and 9 medical laboratories)
    • Imposed total withdrawals: 3 organisations (1 testing laboratory, and 2 inspection bodies)
  • For the period April - June 2022
    • Imposed total suspensions: 7 organisations (1 testing laboratory, 1 calibration laboratory, 2 medical laboratories, 2 inspection bodies, and 1 verification body)
    • Imposed total withdrawals: 4 organisations (2 inspection bodies, 1 certification body, and 1 medical laboratory)
  • For the period January - March 2022
    • Imposed total suspensions: 10 organisations (4 testing laboratories, 2 inspection bodies, 3 physiological services, and 1 certification body)
    • Imposed total withdrawals: 0 organisations

    • Imposed total suspensions: 1 organisation (1 medical laboratory)
    • Imposed total withdrawals: 1 organisation (1 physiological services)
