Sanctions
ISO/IEC 17011 states that Accreditation Bodies are required to have procedures for suspension, withdrawal or reduction of the accreditation scope (collectively referred to as ‘Sanctions’).
Below is a summary of recent activity, a the list of organisations with scopes which are currently suspended or withdrawn can be found here.

For the period January to March 2021
- Imposed total suspensions: 4 organisations (1 calibration laboratory, 2 medical laboratories, and 1 physiological services)
- Imposed total withdrawals: 5 organisations (1 testing laboratory, 1 calibration laboratory, 1 medical laboratory, and 2 physiological services)

For the period October to December 2020
- Imposed total suspensions: 2 organisations (1 physiological services, and 1 certification body)
- Imposed total withdrawals: 4 organisations (3 testing laboratories, and 1 calibration laboratory)

- Imposed total suspensions: 5 organisations (2 testing laboratories, 1 medical laboratory, and 2 physiological services)
- Imposed total withdrawals: 1 organisation (1 testing laboratory)

- Imposed total suspensions: 4 organisations (2 testing laboratories, 1 calibration laboratory, and 1 certification body)
- Imposed total withdrawals: 1 organisation (1 inspection body)
