Joint UKAS and BEIS webinar on Implementation and Accreditation of UKCA Regime

On 28th September, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and UKAS jointly hosted a webinar for Conformity Assessment Bodies covering the new UKCA marking, the implementation of the UKCA regime, as well as the accreditation process.

About this event:

This event was for Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) following the recent deadline extension to allow industry to prepare for the UKCA marking.  The event provided the opportunity to find out more about the changes announced, BEIS plans for the year ahead and to hear from UKAS on the accreditation process.

In August 2021, the Government announced its intention to introduce legislation that would allow CE marked goods to be placed on the market in Great Britain for an additional year.

The webinar also provided the opportunity for CABs to ask questions ahead of the webinar, and in a Q&A session at the end of the event.

You can view a recording of the webinar here and a copy of the presentation slides can be found here.  The Q&As from the event have now been collated and can be viewed here.
