UKAS assesses and accredits:

Laboratories in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2000

Certification bodies in accordance with the requirements of: EN 45012 (ISO Guide 62), EN 45011 (ISO Guide 65), ISO/IEC 17024, ISO Guide 66

Inspection bodies in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020 (EN 45004)

Proficiency testing schemes in accordance with the requirements of ISO Guide 43

UKAS also assesses and recommends organisations on behalf of the relevant government department for the purposes of notification in respect of EC Directives and UK regulations.
