NPL online workshop | Digital Calibration Certificates (DCC)

On 14 October, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is hosting an online workshop for calibration laboratories focused on Digital Calibration Certificates (DCCs).

The session will introduce the concept of DCCs and help participants gain an initial understanding of the potential benefits and challenges associated with their implementation. The agenda includes presentations on digital modernisation initiatives at NPL, UKAS, and CCPI Europe, followed by an overview of DCCs, practical examples and a discussion on implementation.

UKAS will be participating in the workshop to share insights into its own digital modernisation activities and how these support the wider adoption of digital calibration processes.

Alongside open discussion and the opportunity to raise questions, the workshop will also explore how NPL can support laboratories in adopting DCCs — for example, through training and guidance — and identify potential areas for future collaboration between NPL and the calibration community.
