Following its recent Annual General Meeting, UKAS is pleased to announce the appointment of the TIC Council as its newest member.
UKAS, as a private company limited by guarantee, has members rather than shareholders. These members play an important role in representing the interests of a representative cross-section of stakeholders, including government, industry, professional bodies, the conformity assessment sector and consumers. UKAS’s membership ensures that UKAS continues to deliver accreditation services in the public interest, supporting confidence in the quality and reliability of products and services across the economy.
The TIC Council is the global association representing the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) industry, promoting best practice, competence and integrity within the sector and the consistent adoption of standards worldwide. Its appointment as a member strengthens UKAS’s links with the wider TIC community, supporting a unified approach to emerging opportunities and challenges within the sector and ensuring alignment in advancing innovation, resilience and public confidence.
