Biobanks accreditation - ISO 20387

To gain accreditation, a biobank must be fully conversant and comply with the following international standard:

• ISO 20387:2018 Biotechnology – Biobanking – General requirements for Biobanking

Note: ISO is currently revising the standard

In addition, accredited biobanks must meet the requirements stated in relevant EA and ILAC mandatory documents. Applicable documents depend upon the activities covered in the scope of a Biobank’s accreditation.
