IAF MANDATORY DOCUMENT FOR THE COLLECTION OF DATA TO PROVIDE INDICATORS OF MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION BODIES’ PERFORMANCE
UKAS currently collects metric data regarding the operations of its certification body customers via an annual operational metrics questionnaire. This questionnaire, with minor amendment will be used to meet the data collection requirements of IAF MD15:2014.
UKAS considers that operational metrics provided by certification bodies should be provided at a time which makes them relevant and useful in the planning and execution of assessments. Therefore UKAS will continue to send the questionnaire out approximately 7 months in advance of the annual head office assessment.
UKAS however recognises that where a certification body holds accreditation with several accreditation bodies the need to provide metric data on multiple different occasions over a year is inefficient and a duplication of effort. UKAS welcomes contact from certification bodies who find themselves in this situation following the publication of IAF MD15:2014, such that we can agree on a mutually beneficial date for completion of the operational metrics questionnaire.
