UKAS Independent Technical Assessor
Background:
Janice has a master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, is a Chartered Chemist and Chartered Scientist and has over 40 year’s experience working in analytical laboratories in the UK and overseas.
As well as her qualifications and experience, Janice is very familiar with UKAS having been an Assessment Manager/Technical Assessor (and later Section Head) at UKAS for ten years.
Experience:
Janice has been involved in training and people development for much of her career. She has delivered technical courses on specific analytical techniques during her time working for instrument manufacturers and has delivered training in specific aspects of ISO/IEC 17025 as a consultant to groups in the UK and Africa.
Having retired from UKAS, Janice keeps up her skills by working with us as an Independent Technical Assessor.
When not working:
Janice is an avid reader and knitter and always has a book and a knitting project on the go. She keeps fit by doing yoga and Pilates classes and enjoys travelling around the UK and abroad.
