Assessment Manager
Background:
Ashleigh holds a BSc (Hons) in Molecular & Cellular Biology and an MPhil in Infectious Diseases. She began her career in ISO/IEC 17025‑accredited food testing laboratories with a focus on molecular testing, where she also established NGS authenticity testing under UKAS accreditation. She later acted as Quality and Technical Lead for a new laboratory, writing the full Quality Management System and supporting its accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Ashleigh joined UKAS in 2021 as an Assessment Manager within the Healthcare Team.
Experience:
In her role as an Assessment Manager and Lead Assessor, Ashleigh delivers assessments to ISO 15189 and ISO/IEC 17025, manages customers accredited to ISO 17034, and also serves as a Technical Focus Person within the Healthcare team.
When not working:
Outside of work, Ashleigh enjoys reading and scrolling through TikTok. At home she is kept busy by her six cats, loves long country walks and will take any opportunity to escape to a hot, sunny destinations.
