UKAS Independent Technical Assessor
Background:
With a degree in Applied Chemistry and as a Chartered Scientist and a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Debbie has over 24 years’ experience in Water and Environmental laboratories.
As well as being highly qualified in her field, Debbie is very familiar with UKAS, having been an Assessment Manager (later Senior Assessment Manager and Training Manager) at UKAS for 17 years.
Experience:
In her role as Training Manager, Debbie delivered both internal and external courses for eight years and for three years prior to leaving UKAS she also worked as a European Accreditation (EA) peer evaluator.
Having ‘retired’ from UKAS, Debbie keeps up her skills and her connections by working with us as an Independent Technical Assessor.
When not working:
Debbie spends her spare time enjoying the hills and coastal landscapes of Northumberland, indulging her passion for history in her part-time role with English Heritage and as an active participant in her very social village life.
