Assessment Manager
Background:
Lara holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree and has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare, spanning both the NHS and the private sector. Her background is primarily in intensive care and clinical research. Lara joined UKAS in 2023 as an Assessment Manager within the Healthcare Team.
Experience:
In her role as an Assessment Manager and Lead Assessor, Lara delivers assessments for the IQIPS scheme, as well as assessments against BS 70000 and ISO/IEC 17020 within Healthcare..
When not working:
Outside of her role at UKAS, Lara volunteers with St John Cymru and sits on one of Wales’ Research Ethics Committees. She is a busy mum of two and also home educates.
In her spare time, Lara enjoys travelling with her family or can often be found in a local coffee shop catching up with friends. She is a keen philatelist and enjoys writing.
