This bulletin has been prepared to inform interested parties that the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation reissued ILAC-G27: Guidance on measurements performed as part of an inspection process in July 2019.
The changes to this publication are not significant and have been made to update the text to correspond with the latest versions of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17011 & ILAC-P8 (a summary of the changes is included in an annex to the document).
Due to the minor nature of the changes there are no specific changes or actions required by Inspection Bodies, and the UKAS assessment and accreditation process is not affected as a result. The information contained in the UKAS Technical Bulletin issued when the first edition of ILAC-G27 was published in June 2017 continues to apply.
Please also note that, as stated in section 1.1 “The document does not intend to – and does not – place any new requirements over and above those already stipulated in ISO/IEC 17020:2012. The document only strives to interpret those requirements when used for the purpose of accreditation.”
