» Step 2 – Apply
Complete the ISAS Application Pack. Please note you must sign the UKAS Agreement. You can then either email the completed application and send it to: Applications@ukas.com or alternatively you can post it to us.
Please ensure that the Application pack is fully completed and the one-off Application fee is included to avoid delays with the processing of your application.
You can choose to be assessed via the Direct or Staged Assessment Route. Organisations/services choosing the staged assessment route can have their attainment level published on the ISAS website at various stages during the assessment process.
- Attainment Level 1 : Completed the pre-assessment
- Attainment Level 2 : Completed a 2nd optional pre-assessment
- Attainment Level 3: Completed the formal review of documentary evidence
- Attainment Level 4: Completed the ‘formal’ on site assessment visit.
Upon receipt of your application UKAS will appoint an Assessment Manager, who will be your Case Manager and primary point of contact with UKAS.
Your Assessment Manager will contact you to organise a planning meeting where they will confirm the scope of activities you would like to have accredited and to discuss the requested assessment approach for your organisation.
Your Assessment Manager will then guide you through the process of gaining accreditation by supporting you and agreeing timescales for key stages in the accreditation process.
Your Assessment Manager will also discuss the proposed assessment team, including the Lay and Peer Assessors assigned as having the most appropriate technical expertise to assess your organisation/service.
Once this is agreed, a written quotation extending over the entire four-year accreditation cycle will be submitted to you.
