As an Accrediting Body, UKAS works to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17011 and therefore assess the robustness of Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) processes for identifying and managing nonconformities; this is very important to provide confidence that the CAB is competent to meet requirements on an ongoing basis.

This module takes you through key aspects of managing nonconformities/nonconforming work. It includes the definitions of nonconforming work, cause, and the extent and looks at how this requires consideration in your environment as well as during any second and third-party assessments.

Within the module are some tools that can be used for determining causes and scenarios from a variety of settings for you to work through.

It also includes the requirements for responding to findings when raised as part of a UKAS assessment visit.
