Important information from BEIS relating to the UKCA regime

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has announced their intention to introduce legislation to continue recognition of the CE marking and reversed epsilon marking until 31 December 2024 for most goods being placed on the market or put into service in Great Britain as part of new ministers’ commitment to reduce burdens for industry.  This announcement in full can be read on the BEIS website.

UKAS recognises that this new regulatory policy will impact a number of our customers. UKAS is not responsible for the development of policy, however we will continue to provide up to date information on relevant accreditation matters to Conformity Assessment Bodies as they address the changes.
